At Grove Park we believe it is polite to take an interest in other languages and cultures.

Language of the Term 6
This term, to link in with the world cup and Creative arts week, we are focussing on Russian.

Language of the Month In July 2017 we focussed on French.
We were very lucky to have Monsieur Pastor visit and talk to the school about life in France.
Children had fun cooking French food including: pain au chocolat, crepes, baguettes and tarte aux pomme. Yum yum!
Each class also learnt about a different French speaking country - Did you know that French is spoken by 220 million people across the world!

Language of the Month - In June 2017 we are focussing on Wales and the Welsh language
Children from Reception to Year 6 have produced some creative projects all about Wales. A very special well done to all the pupils from Reception and Year 1. They have worked especially hard in producing some wonderful home learning projects.
Creative Arts Week - From the 26th to 30th June, children across the school will learn about China.
They will participate in dance, music and arts workshops to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding of Chinese culture.
