Grove Park Primary School

Welcome

Grove Park Primary School is a thriving and popular Primary school in Sittingbourne and we have an excellent reputation in the community we serve. I am very proud to be Headteacher of this successful school, where we all share a common belief in creating a school where children can thrive and grow into the people they wish to be; in a safe and happy environment.

There are currently 422 pupils on role in the school, comprising of 14 classes aged from 4 to 11 years. We became an Academy on the 1st June 2012 and whilst we are no longer a Kent Local Authority school we work closely with our neighbouring schools to secure success for all children. We were recently given the opportunity to open a free special school, please see the section on Aspire Free School on our website.

At Grove Park we have an excellent team of talented Teachers, Teaching Assistants and many other staff teams who work hard to meet the needs of all our children, ensuring that they reach their full potential, not only through academic success but also in their social, moral, spiritual, creative and physical development. In our last Ofsted inspection this good work was recognised; the report can be accessed from our school website.

Partnership working is vital to the work we do and we welcome the close working relationship with our families to ensure your children get the best possible start in their education. Parents are welcome to the school to talk to us. Our active Home School Association, which is run by parents, meets regularly to fund raise with interesting events through the year.

The school is set in excellent grounds that provide our children with superb facilities and playing fields. We have the latest computer technology in all classrooms, including two fully equipped computer suites. We offer a range of clubs to interest many children. For example, art, drama, music, sewing, dance and a range of sports clubs.

If you would like to come into school to find out more, please do call or contact the school direct here, and we will be happy to make an appointment to meet you.
