Re-watch the Christmas Truce video linked below.
Think about how the soldier would be feeling at different parts of the story- to help, you may want to annotate the story board/comic strip you made yesterday so that you can clearly show the soldier's feelings in different scenes.
During the war, you wouldn't have been able to have regular contact with your family back at home so many soldiers relied on writing letters.
Your task today is to pretend you are the soldier. Write a letter home to your family telling them all about your day and how for that short period of time, you stopped fighting and were able to play and have fun with your 'enemies'.
Remember to use all of the punctuation we looked at last week. You should be able to include colons, semi-colons and dashes. Don't forget exciting openers too!
Today, you are going to be the teacher! If you need to, go back and watch the videos from yesterday which break down the steps for short division.
Now, each group has a sheet (linked below) with completed short division questions however, your job is to mark these- do not use a calculator, you will need to work out the answers yourself!! If they got it wrong, you then need to explain where they made their mistake!
A little project for you today! Thinking back a couple of years, you should have learnt a little bit about fossils. Today, I'd like you to research how fossils are formed and the different types of fossils. The video linked below is a great place to start!
