Welcome back Year One! We hope you had a lovely half term break and enjoyed the sunshine. The year one teachers would like to say a MASSIVE thank you for the fabulous video montage - it was wonderful to see so many of you on screen.
Whilst some children will begin to return to school this term, we will be continuing to post work as we were before the break for those continuing their learning at home, and to be available to you via email.
Each day whilst we are learning from home, we will be setting daily maths and English activities. You can access this by clicking the star at the bottom of this page.
We will also be setting some fun projects for you to do at home over the week. We hope you will enjoy this creative way of learning some of the things we would have been finding out about in class.
We hope your family will help you and enjoy learning some new things too!
Should you need to contact us about your learning – with questions, or to share what you have done, here are our email addresses:
firstname.lastname@example.org – Mrs Watts
email@example.com – Miss Banks
firstname.lastname@example.org – Miss Hawkes
As well as completing your projects, we will expect you to read every day. It could be a book from home or one set on ‘Bug Club’.
We’d love you to make some sort of scrap book of your learning. You could add photos and pictures of things you have done, record interesting facts you have found out and record any achievements you want to share.
If you have completed a project or task that you are really proud of, ask your parent or carer to send us a photo in an email. We won’t need you to bring all your learning back into school, but we definitely want to know what you’re doing and what you’re enjoying learning about.
Your home learning pack has some things in it to do. Try to take some time each day to complete some of these tasks.
Please enjoy your learning and your family time together. It will be exciting to share our ideas and achievements with each other. We cannot wait to see how creative you can be! If you're happy for your child and their experiences to be on the website, we're going to create a page so you can see what your friends have been up too. Please email these to Miss Banks with a line of permission and watch this space!
