Welcome to term 2 which seems to have come along very quickly. The children have settled back into school life really well and we are so impressed with their positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Well done 3E.
This term in history we will continue to learn more about the Bronze Age and Iron Age before moving on to find out about the Romans and why they came to Britain. In science we will be looking at rocks and fossils and seeing how they were formed millions of years ago. Fridays will be our PE day and we will be practising our hockey skills outside so please make sure your child has something warm to put on as the weather turns colder.
We will also be making Powerpoint presentations and using data handling programs in our ICT lessons.
Numeracy homework will be set on Education City on Fridays and literacy home learning will be reading on Bug Club ( we ask that the children read at home at least 5 times a week). There will also be projects to complete that reinforce our learning in other curriculum areas. The first is all about volcanoes which you can get really creative with. The details of this project can be found at the bottom of this page.
We are also heading towards, dare I say it, Christmas. It might look slightly different this year but we have lots of fun and exciting festive learning planned.
