Breakfast Club sessions are run by Mrs Baker, Breakfast Club Supervisor, and club assistants Mrs Sage, Mrs Fletcher and Miss Hogben from 7.30am to 8.45am on days when the school is open (not holidays). When the door opens at 7.30am the children are welcomed into the main hall where breakfast is served. Hot breakfasts will be served until 8am.
Children are offered a choice of the following cereals, Cheerios, Weetabix and frosted Shreddies. We serve 50/50 toast with a low fat spread and/or jam, Marmite and chocolate spread. A selection of seasonal fruit is always available and there is a choice of orange juice, apple juice, milk and water to drink. A hot breakfast is also available and varies depending upon whether it is the spring/summer or autumn/winter menu. Our menu is on a three weekly rotation.
When the children have finished eating they are encouraged to help clean the tables and tidy up. Children will then go and brush their teeth and clean their faces. Please provide us with a named bag containing a toothbrush on your child’s first session.
We provide a selection of board games, books, lego/construction, play dough modelling, colouring/drawing, skipping and hoopla. Most days there is a craft activity if they wish to cut and stick. Once the children have helped to tidy away the toys we spend 10/15 minutes playing circle/group games. For example duck - duck goose, musical statues.
The children are escorted to their classrooms at 8.45 along with all their belongings.
The cost of each session (from Sept 2020) is £3.00; a minimum of £15.00 is required to be made online. Payments must be made in advance at www.scopay.com/groveparkpri-kent. Please contact the school office for a link code if you are not registered with Scopay.
You will need to complete a Breakfast Club Agreement and registration form before your child can attend. These are available below and from the school office and can be emailed upon request.
