Despite the rain and wind in recent months progress has been made on the timber frame. The timber frame in certain zones has been erected and handed over to commence boarding. Other zones have also been completed and the final zones have commenced. The timber frame is due to be completed by the end of the month.
Preparation work has been made on the roofing in readiness for the first roof sheet delivery. In addition the external doors have been fixed in several zones.
Internally the plasterboard has been installed together with tape and jointing in certain zones releasing the decorator later in the month. The heating pipework has also started and the Gas service contractor has visited the site with the intention of completing pipework by the end of February.
High winds and rain have prevented the roof sheeting being installed, which has prompted the increase in labour to recover the situation. The crane lift has been rescheduled to lift roof sheets and ventilation plant to the roof level. Brickwork has continued around the building rather than zone by zone.
All the windows and doors have been installed with the final installation being the main entrance sliding door, which is planned to happen before the end of February. Internally flooring preparation has begun, with vinyl being laid at the end of February or beginning of March. Following this the installation of fixed furniture can begin.
