Wednesday 1st April 2020
As today is the last day of term, we are going to set you a practical activity rather than Maths and English (although if anyone is still working on their Easter Story, we would love to see them).
Today’s Practical Activity
We would like you to carry out an act of kindness to make someone else feel special/happy/cheerful.
This could be anything including; helping your parents, by doing a chore; playing with brother or sisters; reading a story to your brothers or sisters; drawing or painting a rainbow to go in your window, if you haven’t already; sharing your toys or sweets with someone; writing a nice note to someone to say thank you for something.
Challenge: When you do your act of kindness think about how it makes you feel? (We know it will make the other person feel good – but what do you notice about how it makes you feel?)
Extra extra challenge: Can you do an act of kindness every day this holiday? You could keep a little diary of them.
We look forward to hearing about your acts of kindness.
All the Year One teachers and TAs wish you all a lovely break and we will be in contact in the new term.
Thank you to all parents/carers and children for all your hard work in this unusual time. It has been lovely to see what the children have been doing at home.
We won’t be posting on this page over the holidays but the links on the class page will remain and there are activities in the Homework section of Education City if your children wish to practise anything.
After your fantastic writing all about drawbridges, we would like you to make a fact file all about your castles! Who lives in your castle? What other features can you tell us about?
