Literacy- A Pig Called Henry- Potions

Following on from yesterday, I would like you to re-read pages 5-10.

Now, imagine you are Old Mother Knucklebone. Use your imagination to create 4 different disgusting ointments or potions (they can be as vile as you'd like), that you would make to cure your neighbour's illnesses. There is only one condition, you can only use things that would be found in a Tudor woman's garden or surroundings!

Numeracy- I can draw triangles

You will need:

A sharp pencil

A ruler

Today, I would like you to have a go at drawing the different types of triangles you will have looked at yesterday. Follow the rules below to help you.

Don’t worry if your triangles aren’t perfect; it will take practise!

  1. Draw an equilateral triangle with sides 5cm long.
  2. Draw a right-angled triangle. One side must be 7cm long.
  3. Draw an isosceles triangle. Two sides must measure 6cm.
  4. Draw a scalene triangle with sides 4cm, 5cm and 6cm.
  5. Draw an isosceles triangle. At least one side must be 4cm.
  6. Draw a scalene triangle where one side is 8cm.
  7. Draw an equilateral triangle with sides 4cm long.
  8. Draw a right-angled triangle with one horizontal line of 9cm.

Afternoon Activity- Sudoku

Some of you will have seen these before but I thought I'd give you all a bit of a challenge.

Sudoku is a logic-based maths puzzle where you are given a partially filled grid. You can only use each number once in each horizontal line and each vertical line. I have completed one below for you.

See if you can complete the grids below!
